Service features
  • Product Liability

Our award winning product liability adjusters have the commercial acumen to work with all parties to gather the right evidence to defend a claim or pursue recoveries whichever is the right path.

Crucial to the successful handling of a product liability claim is a comprehensive understanding of the product. Our approach is one of, “if in doubt follow the product – it starts and finishes there.” With skills in diverse industries such as construction, automotive, food and drink and retail we have the breadth of knowledge to support you.

We recognise the importance of an effective response so when you instruct us, a team leader will be appointed immediately to co-ordinate all aspects of the claim and its investigation.

The investigation of the claim will focus very much on options for resolution. We recognise our role is to verify the evidence to ensure that all recovery opportunities are protected.

    Product recall

The decision to recall a product can be potentially devastating to a business. Blending skills from across the business we provide effective project management and team working that is directed at the early resolution of claims, brand protection and recovery of the product.

  • Global Programmes

There are few classes of business where the benefits of a worldwide office network are so pronounced. In addition to individual assignments, we operate worldwide claims handling programmes for many international corporations, particularly relevant given German strength in the export market.

Our network of offices allows our clients to select the most suitable ‘control office` from which we provide a fast, cost-effective response to losses occurring anywhere in the world. Throughout Germany, we handle many multinational accounts for hotels, electronics companies, fast food corporations and logistics companies.

  • Power

We have recognised power and utilities specialists, including engineers of all types. We are appointed on numerous global, regional and in-country programmes for these risks.

We regularly handle large losses involving combined cycle, gas, steam and renewable power including hydro and wind energy, as well as telecoms companies, waste water and similar utilities.

  • Construction & Engineering

We are recognised for our expertise in civil engineering, building and mechanical and electrical engineering. This allows us to provide a high level of technical competence in CAR/EAR/DSU claims and construction liability claims; and machinery breakdown and property losses relating to the power and energy industry. We know that swift settlement of construction claims can be the difference between a business surviving or going under. To handle these complex claims we have built up one of the strongest and most experienced claims teams in the industry.

We have been retained as nominated adjusters on some of the largest and most technically complicated construction and civil engineering projects around the world.

From the small building complex, oil refineries, bridges, tunnels, railways and other critical infrastructure projects through to the construction of the iconic buildings around the world. Our expert team has the strength and stability to become your independent expert on Construction All Risks and Engineering All Risks claims.

  • Catastrophe Response

Cunningham Lindsey has extensive experience in managing catastrophe claims both in the region and globally. Drawing resources from our network of offices, coupled with a tried and tested catastrophe plan, we are ready to respond to any catastrophe loss situation.

Our presence in Germany has enabled us to develop an expertise in local construction costs and building techniques, both of which combine to control the cost of catastrophe claims. We employ engineers in all disciplines in the region whose knowledge and practical experience can be brought to bear in the event of a disaster.

The set-up of a temporary location or multiple locations requires skill and expertise, and this is something we have done many times in the past. We are mindful, however, that different types of losses can often require different approaches and we are flexible in our approach and resourcing requirements to be able to handle any situation.

Effective co-ordination is crucial to managing a catastrophe operation. Getting your clients back up and running is our priority.

  • Energy

We are one of the leading adjusters in this field and we have staff who hold extensive experience in handling major losses at power stations, pipelines, oil refineries and a variety of upstream and downstream process facilities.

Our team of dedicated loss adjusters within Germany include experts within the oil and gas industry. Our experience ranges from high-value losses associated with onshore and drilling through production, transport, refining and marketing activities.

Associated risks handled within the oil and gas business include physical damage to rigs and other non-marine structures, construction losses and operational incidents.

We have extensive experience of handling losses related to power plant construction projects and operational incidents for all types of modern power generation technologies. Our team of engineers includes specialists in turbines, Diesel engines and nuclear power generation.

  • Environmental

We offer a network of environmental specialists throughout Germany who can face these challenges but also understand the local legislations.

Environmental impairment losses can have an impact on soil, groundwater, air, rivers and protected habitats and of course fauna and flora living in and on it, including humans. The remediation of environmental pollution tends to be complex and expensive and you need a highly skilled environmental adjuster who can truly understand these intricate issues
