Cunningham Lindsey responds to North Island Storms

28 Apr 11

We are responding to an influx of claims for damage arising from the recent storm in the North Island. The main concentration of claims seems to be in the Auckland, Hamilton, Taupo, Hawkes Bay and New Plymouth offices.

Our ability to respond as quickly as we normally would, is being hampered by our ongoing response to the Canterbury Earthquakes. While we have attempted to maintain a good level of service for business as usual around the country our branch adjusters have continued to be involved with the response to the earthquake and are extended.

What does this mean for the current event?

  • We are moving some adjusters back from Christchurch to assist in the North Island branches
  • Some of our adjusters will work over the weekend to ensure that the most serious claims are viewed as quickly as possible
  • We are contacting clients and prioritising their claims
  • We will ensure that we visit Category 1 claims as quickly as possible - hopefully all by the end of the weekend

Again our plea is for patience and your understanding that our resources are thinly stretched and our people have been working under pressure for 7 months.

We remain committed to doing all within our power to provide your clients with a claim service that you can be proud of.
