Cunningham Lindsey ready to respond to Hurricane Alex

1 Jul 10

The first storm of the hurricane season made landfall along the Northeast Mexican coast in the municipality of Soto La Marina late on wedensday evening as a category two hurricane.

The storm, which is moving west at about 10mph, is about 110 miles (165km) south of Brownsville, Texas. Much of Matamoros was flooded Thursday morning and we are monitoring the damage closely from our Mexico City office, our colleagues there will be attending damage in the region on programmes into which we are already nominated and when we receive further information, we will pass this on.

In 2005, Hurricane Emily made landfall in a similar area and we are anticipating claims on a number of industrial accounts with risks in this general location.

If we can assist you at this time, please do not hesitate to contact either Richard Gross in Mexico City or myself if more convenient.
