Cunningham Lindsey responds to mudslides in Guatemala

Tropical Storm Agatha which swept across Central America on Monday the 31st May, brought torrential rain across certain parts of Central America.

It is estimated that the storms, which have killed more than 100 people, have also opened a 30 meter deep sinkhole in Guatemala City, swallowing up a three-storey building.

Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Honduras are areas which have all been affected by the tropical storm. Our adjusters, on the ground in Guatemala, have reported that the heavy rains have triggered mudslides which have collapsed homes and forced thousands to evacuate. The Tropical Storm has now headed into the Caribbean Sea.
