The worst affected areas are the cities of Cagayan de Oro and Iligan where winds of 90km/hr swept walls of muddy water through the cities.
We are closely monitoring the developments on the ground, especially in Iligan and Cagayan Cities in Mindanao island as well as in Dumaguete City in Negros. Our catastrophe response team has been deployed in these areas, ready to respond to any claims that should arise.
We believe that most of the affected areas were residential ones, informal settlers to be exact, which dwell on the periphery of the Cagayan River. Government infrastructures has also been affected but so far there is little devastation to commercial and industrial sectors.
Our experienced CAT Team members are now in the affected regions so please don't hesitate to contact us if we can be of any assistance.
