When dealing with a product liability, professional indemnity, or any other liability claim we aim to tackle this with a double approach:

Whilst thoroughly investigating the legal basis for defense, we at the same time take immediate action to mitigate the loss as much as possible.

Obviously, these activities take place under the provision that no liability is accepted until legal procedure has taken place.

We have developed protocols for the recall of products and appropriate publicity action in case of product liability, to protect the commercial interest of the insured whilst keeping the cost under control. We have also developed our own in-house medical specialist department, capable of making its own assessment of (the consequences of) injuries and medical malpractice.

This attention to the contents of liability claims has helped us mitigate the loss ratios for our clients.
