Update - Cunningham Lindsey respond to Chilean earthquake

After the devastating earthquake, which struck Chile on Saturday 27th February 2010, the Chilean government have imposed a curfew in Concepcion, (the region, which has been seriously affected by the earthquake) and sent 14,000 troops to the city and surrounding areas to stop widespread looting. As a result of this, inspections within the Concepcion area are difficult to arrange.

Patrick Hardy, from our Buenos Aires office, is currently in Santiago supporting our associate company, SGC. Further Cunningham Lindsey staff will be joining the team in the coming days.

SGC have been working to restore their IT systems, which are up and running. They now have a dedicated section relating to the earthquake on their website http://www.sgc.cl

Unfortunately parts of Santiago remain without communications but we are hopeful the situation will improve over the next few days. We will keep you updated.
