Employment History
Ton has been adjusting marine claims since 1977. Before starting his career, he studied Food Hygiene & Handling of Food at The Royal Institute of Public Health & Hygiene in London and obtained his Meat Trades Final Certificate and Advanced Certificate in Meat Technology at the Blackpool College of Technology. Ton joined the company in 1986 as director of the office in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, after a career as surveyor at Marine Survey Bureau H.A. van Ameyde bv in Rotterdam. As a surveyor, he specialises in general cargo surveys, commodities, chilled and/or frozen foodstuffs, in carriers liability and liquid/bulk cargo.
