It is an important factor in the handling of claims that recovery prospects are identified and protected from the outset. Our surveyors and adjusters are aware or the relevant time limits and ensure that these are met.

On the basis of the available documentation our team will judge whether recovery action will make sense. In any case, all parties who are part of the logistic chain will be held liable.

When the counterparty refuses to settle the claim within the time bar period (extension thereof is possible) or in an apparent earlier state of unwillingness. The recovery team will advise the principal to close the file or to start legal proceedings. We are well acquainted with a broad network of lawyers in the marine sector.

With most principals we usually work on the basis of "no cure, no pay" (resembling the Lloyd's scale of fees).
