Cunningham Lindsey is a service provider to the insurance market and handles a large amount of information including details about individuals. Our full range of activities has been notified under the Data Protection Act 1998 (the Act).

To combat financial crime and money laundering, we are obliged to make enquiries when dealing with claims. As part of the validation process we may check with other parties including credit reference agencies and data providers. We also share claim data within the insurance market, but only through recognised schemes designed to combat financial crime. Personal data is otherwise treated as confidential and is not used for any other purpose.

Under the Act, individuals are entitled to see their personal data by making a 'subject access request' in writing (email is also acceptable). The subject access request should be addressed to the person you have been dealing with in our organisation as this will speed-up the identification process.

Please note that we only provide personal data as defined in the Act and restrictions may apply depending on the situation with your claim and/or your relationship with our organisation.
